A living goldfish staring out of a dark hole, that turns out to be the half-opened mouth of a young woman. She is sitting in a narrow hot tub, the heat turning her skin glowingly red dish. While the fish is trying to escape its fate, the woman herself is trying to breathe at risk of choking or swallowing the living animal. Both are gasping for their basic needs. With the creation of this image, Jina Shin recaps her personal, completely new situation studying abroad as an Asian woman during her first year at the Academy in Germany, feeling helplessly caught like a fish out of water that is trying to breathe regular air.
