The performance 'Supermarket not so Supermarket' is based on the idea of wanting to sell something in the exhibition hall. The crocodile which is presented by the artist in the coffin can be an object or a symbol of mourning, depending on her choice. In China, stuffed crocodiles are sold as decoration in coffins. A coffin with pink balloons advertising the mega sale is shown along with the crocodile as a commodity, and buyers can choose to bury the crocodile along with the coffin or leave it as decoration. The work is meant to show that nowadays compassion is commercialised.
